I'm 45 and live in Harmony Grove, WI, USA. I haven't been to work since 1/16/2006. I am a systems analyst. My employer has been just wonderful. They are continuing to pay my benefits and full salary while we figure out how much I can still do. I think I can work part-time, but I'm not sure and I don't want to retire just yet.
The weird thing is I didn't realize how many of the other things I feel are related to ARC. I knew that is what caused the pain, but the sweating thing is unbelievable. My husband actually likes it because I no longer wear layers of clothes to bed. I grew up on Lake Superior and I've always felt so cold in winter. Now, I'm in t-shirts and often get up in the middle of the night to change because they're soaking wet. I also change clothes in mid-day and shower in mid-day.
I also have the burning feet thing. I've complained about that for years, but never knew what it was from. I keep a jar of moisturizer on my night stand and I swear, it works. Just slather your feet with it and they will feel cool enough to let you sleep.
I hope that we can make friends here, it's hard to be alone all day like this. My dogs help, but it's still hard.
