Mary,
First I want to welcome you to our group, and to let you know that you are among friends here, and that we will all do what we can to help you with your struggle. Well, you certainly went to one of the best when you went to see Dr. Burton. He is one of the worlds best doctors when it comes to arachnoiditis. I envy that you were able to see him. We are all here for you, and are willing to "talk" to you at any time. Everyone that is a registered member on this board has arachnoiditis, so you certainly are not alone in your struggles. If you have some general questions, please do not be afraid to post them on the board. If you need to talk to someone on a more personal level, I am available at: arachnoiditis.net@mac.com. Hello and WELCOME!!!
 We're sorry to hear of another victim of this vicious beast, but we're soooo happy that you found us!  Everyone here understands that need to talk to others who *really* understand!!! Even if we have family and friends that are supportive, it's not like being able to talk to people that are going through the same things that we are!! WOW, Dr. Burton!?!?!  That's fantastic that you have him as your Dr.!!! He's responsible for spreading the word on this disease and trying to educate other Doc's, who don't seem to have a clue as to what ARC is! Again, we're so proud to have you with us and we look forward to seeing more of you here. Please ask anything that may be on your mind and there's almost nothing that would be 'off limits'. This diseases effects us in MANY ways, including bathroom 'accidents' for some, and also sexual dysfunction. There's no need to be embarrassed about any of these things IF you should ever have problems like that, as ALL of us here have gone through SOOOO much with this disease! Many of us also battle other diseases and problems along with the ARC. Asking questions and sharing experiences is how we all learn, and many times brings us a peace of mind. We might not know all the answers, but we'll sure be here for you to lean on! WELCOME!! Hugs,  Sham |
