I am newly diagnosed with a long history of back problems and just found this site. Is it still active? If not, does anyone know of another site that is (If you read this)? I am looking for info and ways to treat/cope. Thanks! Ardith

Hi Ardith, This site is still active, but not used too much lately. Go to the COFWA site and join that. You will find much info there. COFWA stands for "circle of friends with arachnoiditis" it is a group of us who have AA and you would be most welcome there. Mary in Minn

I'm new as well and this is my first post. About COFWA... did you mean the Bulletin Board is still active? Because I have ARC and filled out the organization paperwork to join TWICE and they never answered
. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and would really like to talk with other patients who deal with all the weird, random, excruciating symptoms that we get hit with. IT'S GOOD TO KNOW YOU'RE NOT ALONE, YA KNOW?? If you know how to get the COFWA people to answer you I would LOVE for you to share that with me. Thank you... and very nice to meet you! I asked God for an angel to help me, and a dog came and sat by my side. -- Radene Marie Cook

Hi Radene, COFWA is a great group of people who are just like us, they will be very helpful and can answer all of your questions. Just type in COFWA and you will get the main page, then go to join us and enter your info, that should be all you need to do. Mary in Minn

There are many sites out there that offer support for those with arachnoiditis or suffer with chronic pain. I started this one because there was too much "political" infighting at the other sites I had tried.
Calling each other names, getting angry and taking sides in an arguement is not the way to help others. I know that I have been away from this site for far too long, but now I am finally starting to feel healthy enough to be able to sit long enough to answer questions and offer suggestions.         Please join me in helping others. That is the reason for this board. As long as my health holds up, I will continue to be here for others.         Best wishes,         Tribblepuppy B-) |
