as some of you know my name is Linda, I am 38 years old ,a mother of four girls 21,19,11,10, I got into a car accident 3 years ago ,before then I was pretty healthy ,worked 5-6 days a week , ran my household, took care of kids etc... after the accident everything went downhill ,got a bulged disc,inoperable bone fragment from the seat belt,leg started getting numb...fell down stairs ,started PT,epidural shots,pain meds ,chiropractor,anything then surgery #1,after that one i felt great returned back to work ,had to give up a few things but was dealing with life then the pain started all over again deja vu started all the previous steps again and surgery#2,wellneedless to say it didnt work I hurt more now feel like Im losing my mind , then I ran into an acquaintenance who has just been diagnosed with arachnoiditis ,something I never even heard about before in my life and I guess I can say the rest is history and here I am .... one step closer than my last post though hjave an appt6 with my doctor in one week and will talk to him then unless i see him sooner...but I am getting more and more freaked out seeing the more I read on this the more I am convinced that I have it...example was I found the "3 stages if arach in one of the posts and it freaked me out because the second stage with the atrophy of the nerve roots was in my second to the last MRI...anyway sorry for rambling and Thank you agin for having this site it is very informative and I have learned alot...

I'd stumbled across the word Arachnoiditis a time or two before, while reading info about back pain. However, I had NO idea what it was really like to have it, or that *I* possibly had it!! I was sent from Specialist to Specialist for a number of years, as I have a pretty lengthy list of other problems. None of them seemed to be able to pinpoint the main cause of the pain I described though, and off I was sent to the next Specialist! 
The combination of experiences here that each of us share helps everyone!! Here, you will not be judged, or criticized for being in pain. We've all been where you're now at and we REALLY understand. No matter if you have good support from family and friends - it takes somene who has lived it - literally been there/done that - to understand what you're going through! You will have that here!
